The house
Our old barn houses two surprising gites and a flat (160m²) full of charm and comfort.
Each gîte has a private entrance, garden (in front of the gîte) and large terrace with barbecue at the back
of the gîte, overlooking the swimming pool.
Living room with sitting area and TV. Kitchenette with cooker and oven, cooker hood, refrigerator with freezer compartment, dishwasher,
Microwave and coffee machine.
Bedroom with 180 cm bed and baby bed.
Bedroom with two bunk beds. Hire of bed linen possible. ( 10€ per person)
Bathroom with walk-in shower, 2 sinks, toilet and washing machine. Baby bath available.

We werden uiterst vriendelijk en gastvrij ontvangen door Jan en Phyllis.
We bezochten Le Prunier met onze 2 kindjes en hebben er een topweek op zitten. Het domein is kindvriendelijk en alles is voorzien. Gastheer en gastvrouw zijn makkelijk aanspreekbaar. We kunnen deze gites aan iedereen aanraden die even wil ontsnappen aan de drukte.Familie Mees from Rotterdam,
Zeer gastvrije eigenaren en een prachtige plek. We gaan het uitzicht vanaf het terras missen. Het huisje heeft fijne bedden, een mooie badkamer en prima keuken. Het zwembad is top. Er is van alles te doen ik de omgeving, het Lac du Tolerme is heerlijk op warme dagen.

heel mooie ingerichte gite op een prachtige rustige locatie. wifi aanwezig. Tv enkel franse zenders. het zwembad was top. heel vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenaars. omgeving was wel heuvelachtig, niet erg geschikt om fietstochten te maken. wil je de mooie plaatsen in de streek bezichtigen, moet je er wel een autotocht van een uur of meer voor over hebben( Saint-Cirque-lapopie , Rocamadour..).
Restaurants, food & wine
The exquisite cuisine of Quercy is famous for its foie gras, truffles, confits, mushrooms, walnuts,
melons.
In the vicinity there are typical French eateries, from simple to luxurious.
And don't forget Figeac, the cosy night market where you can taste all the local dishes:
Aligot, escargot, truffade, foie gras and a nice wine (Cahors, Marcillac,...)
Activities
Meandering country roads lead you to the many picturesque villages, including St-cirque-Lapopie, voted the most beautiful village in France in 2012.
Certainly not to forget: Figeac, Rocamadour, Cahors,...
There are several castles and museums to visit, numerous markets and flea markets.
Fishermen and kayakers will certainly find something to their liking here (Dordogne, Lot and Célé).
A few kilometres from the gite, you will find Lac du Tolerme. A beautiful lake, with a sandy beach, far away from the busy tourism. From the gite you can make both sporty and less sporty walks.
Or just spoil yourself in a shady corner with a book in one hand and a glass of red in the other.

Further remarks
Possibility to rent a second gîte, identical to gîte prunier, also located on the ground floor of the building. Sufficient privacy, each gîte has a garden in front of the gîte and a spacious terrace with barbecue at the back of the gîte, all this on 6 ha of land.
