The house
A tastefully restored part of a Gascon farm: a complete house (approx. 110 m2) with covered parking & terrace and a large piece of "own" land with trees. The gîte is equipped for 4 persons (+ a baby), there are 2 bedrooms. For a 5/6th person the sofa bed on the mezzanine is used.
Kitchen: 4-burner stove, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, freezer, kettle, filter coffee maker. In two separate wet rooms: 2 toilets, 2 showers, 3 washbasins.
Two bedrooms with 4 beds of 90x200 cm (box spring-pocket spring), to be used separately or coupled as twin beds. The 5th/6th person can use the sofa bed on the mezzanine, approx. 140x200 cm.
Heating: wood burning stove, electric radiators in bedrooms and bathrooms.
TV (French) with DVD/CD player, radio, internet.
Pets are allowed, provided they leave our dogs, cats, chickens and horses alone. Pets are not allowed on the furniture and on the floor.
In summer a swimming pool (5m diameter x 1,20m) and ping pong table are at your disposal.
During school holidays we rent per week, outside school holidays from a minimum of 3 nights. Please contact us for more information.

Micalon is a nice place to enjoy the good life in Gascony, a region where mass tourism has fortunately not yet penetrated. Here you will find many authentic villages and beautiful views over the hilly landscape. For lovers of peace and quiet, nature and walking in alternation with culture and festivals, this is an attractive and actually unique area. All this within a southern atmosphere and warm climate. The population is very friendly.
But the gîte also offers a great base for trips to the Pyrenees (over an hour's drive), the metropolis of Toulouse with its international airport (one hour) and the lively city of Auch (half an hour) with its historic centre and cathedral.

Wij hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad in gîte Micalon. Het huis is prachtig gelegen, héél erg ruim, zeer schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Er zijn zelfs 2 badkamers. De bedden liggen heerlijk en samen met de enorme rust die de omgeving ons gaf hebben we goed kunnen uitrusten en kunnen genieten. Zo goed zelfs dat we ons verblijf met 5 nachten hebben verlengd.
Ons zoontje heeft zich prima vermaakt met alle dieren op het terrein en genoten van de tuin waar hij voluit kon spelen. Om dagelijks Nynke en de paarden voorbij te zien komen, op weg naar de weide en weer terug, is een mooi tafereel en geeft al snel een huiselijk gevoel.
De paardencoachsessie heb ik als heel bijzonder ervaren. Voor mij was het sowieso voor het eerst dat ik zó dichtbij en met paarden ben geweest maar met de begeleiding en kennis van Nynke voelde het gelijk veilig en goed. Heel fijn om dit meegemaakt te hebben.
Bij Nynke en Hans voelden we ons direct vertrouwd en op ons gemak. Ze hebben ons enorm verwend met hun gastvrijheid en we hebben genoten van alle gezonds en lekkers uit eigen tuin (en kip)! Dank nogmaals hiervoor Nynke en Hans.

Geweldige week gehad samen met onze 2 kinderen bij Nynke en Hans.
De gites was super schoon en heel compleet. Nynke is een erg lieve gastvrouw en heel behulpzaam.
En wat een geweldige plek, prachtig erf en mooie omgeving!
Elke dag een duik in het zwembad en gezellig met de beestjes om ons heen.

Wij hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad in Gite Micalon!
De Gite ligt op een heerlijk rustige plek met prachtige uitzicht over de zonnebloem velden en in de verte zicht op de Pyreneeën. Hans en Nynke waren heel erg gastvrij en hebben er alles aan gedaan om ons een fijne vakantie te geven. Het was warm in de week dat wij hier logeerde maar we vonden verkoeling in het fijne zwembad waar onze twee dochters zich soms wel uren konden vermaken. Nog leuker vonden onze dochters de drie lieve IJslandse paarden.
De gite was brandschoon en echt super compleet. We hebben nog nooit eerder in een vakantiewoning gelogeerd waar het zo compleet was ingericht. We hebben op niets misgepakt.
Kortom we zouden je deze woning echt aanraden.
Activities
We organise horse coaching holiday weeks for small groups. Awareness and personal development, but also just relax and enjoy a wonderful place! It is also possible to book an individual horse coaching session on the spot.
Sports activities in the immediate vicinity: swimming pool, golf at château Barbet (at 5 km), tennis, canoe-kayak, climbing in Tepacap (Rieumes), horse riding, hiking, swimming in lakes (Samatan, Saramon, Gimone), mountaineering in the Pyrenees.
Lombez: old half-timbered houses around the cathedral and covered market hall. Maison des Ecritures, swimming pool, larger supermarkets.
Samatan: market on Monday, shops and cosy streets. In July and August: soirées gourmandes, street food. Swimming lake, media library, cinema, tennis.
Simorre: fortified church with audio guide, museum Musée Paysan d'Emile.
Saramon: nice swimming lake.
Boulaur: Cistercian monastery.
Cazaux-Savès: Caumont castle.
l'Isle Jourdain: market on Saturday, bathing lake, Musée Campanaire Européen, asinerie d'Embazac.
Gimont: market on Wednesday.
Auch: the cathedral with unique stained glass, medieval steep alleys, the monumental staircase, Maison de la Gascogne, cinemas, theatre, indoor swimming pool.
Sarrant: belongs to "the most beautiful villages of France", medieval festival, the book and tea house librairie-tartinerie.

We give 100€ discount on the total rental price if you rent 2 (or more) consecutive weeks. This only applies in high season, and if you book via our own website, as this platform does not support this exception.
If you want to rent a towel package, you can indicate this on the spot, rather not when booking.
Electricity over 60kWh/week: €0.30/kWh. Stove wood: €40 per half cubic metre (oak). Washing machine: €5 per wash.
