The house
Most of the property has original stone walls and fireplace With the exception of additional room for work or play upstairs, the entire accommodation is on the ground floor. A well equipped kitchen dining room leads out through double doors to the patio barbeque area. Of the two twin bedroom one has a hand basin. There is a communal bathroom with bath, wc, handbasin and accessible shower. The third main bedroom is reached through the salon with the front entrance door and level pathway to on road parking. This bedroom has a double bed and furnishings. There is a shower room with wc, handbasin and shower in the ensuite. A travel cot and other provisions for a baby can be provided. The entrance from the car park below is into a large utility room or cloakroom with washing machine, iron and board and cleaning equipment.

La Couronne is located 4 kilometres from the La Monflanquin un des Plus Beaux Villages de France et 9 kilometres to Villereal, another. There are also three other such villages within half an hours drive. The house is situated in the small lieu dit of Tissendier, 6 houses spread along a very quiet rural road. The surroundings are oak woodland and open fields many of which are now BIO which means no chemicals are in use. During the spring the grassland is full of wild flowers including orchids. There are several half hour to an hour circular walks that can be taken from the property which give far reaching views of Monflanquin and beyond.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour malgré un temps un peu couvert.

We hadden een super vakantie in 'La Couronne'. Het huisje is mooi gerenoveerd en lekker koel om te slapen.
Alles is aanwezig en werkt prima. Het zwembad heeft een aangename temperatuur waardoor het ideaal is voor kindjes. Ook de omheining rond het zwembad is prima. De eigenaars zijn heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam en brachten zelf extra speelgoed voor ons zoontje alsook verse tomaten en aardappelen uit hun tuintje dat naast 'la couronne' ligt. Verder is het een heerlijk rustige buurt. Het huisje ligt niet ver van monflaquin, een heel schattig, pittoresk dorpje. Ook de supermarkt en bakker zijn slechts een 5-tal minuutjes rijden.

Hebben een week mogen verblijven in dit prachtige huis.
Het huis , zwembad en de omgeving geven je een geweldig vakantie.
Alles is goed verzorgd en Melissa en Roy zijn erg vriendelijke eigenaren.
Als er iets is kun je altijd bij ze terecht.
Kortom heel erg genoten en zeker een aanrader voor iedereen.

Restaurants, food & wine
There are numerous excellent restaurants in Monflanquin, Villereal and other bastides in the area. In July and August there are night markets in many of the villages where caterers encircle tables and benches in the centre of the village where anybody can sit, eat and be entertained for the evening. There are vineyards and wineries close by and hazelnuts and prunes d'Agen are just two of the specialities of the region. Seasonal fruit and vegetables, arts and crafts can be bought at the many local markets.
Activities
At the property itself you have your own private pool with a level shallow end and deep diving end. There is also a private petanque/boules/babminton court on site.
We are in a beautiful area for cycling and walking and are 450m from the GR636 Randonnée de Bernasse (Dordogne) to Lacapelle-Biron . There are several riding schools in the area and a golf course at Castelnaud de Gratecambe. At Lacapelle Biron you can parcour through the trees in Parc-en-ciel, 15 hectares of rural woodland. Art, pottery and other craft courses may be able to be organised in advance.

When staying in the Lot-et-Garonne you can discover the beautiful environment, the gastronomy and the products of the territory of the south west. The incredible amount of history in the area is also there to be discouvered and enjoyed.
