The house
EXTERIOR
Bastide des Restanques is a very luxurious villa for 8 people on 8000m2 of land. It has a spacious heated swimming pool of 11 by 5 metres and a pool house. The pool house provides ample opportunity to sit in the shade around the pool as well. Near the villa are several seating areas, a covered terrace with outdoor fireplace and spacious dining table. There is a fantastic landscaped garden with a beautiful driveway and unobstructed views over the valley. There is a table tennis table, trampoline and petanque court.
The house is about 2.5 kilometres from the Provencal village of Flayosc with its many restaurants and terraces.
Built in the Middle Ages, Flayosc is located in the heart of Provence en Var between the sea and the mountains. Flayosc is an interesting place where you can discover something about history and the local environment.
Flayosc offers you everything for your daily shopping. In the village there are 2 supermarkets, 1 greengrocer, 2 butchers, 3 bakers, a bank, post office and a pharmacy. For large supermarkets and other groceries you can go to Draguignan, 7 km from Flayosc.
INTERIOR
This very luxurious house for 8 people is spacious and nicely decorated. The living room has a spacious sitting area with fireplace, features a large flat-screen TV (Netflix, Disney+), DVD, Wifi and a Marshall bluetooth speaker. Adjacent to the open kitchen is the indoor dining table, but there is also an outdoor dining table under the canopy with an outdoor fireplace. The kitchen is luxuriously equipped with gas and electric oven, 5 large burners and a griddle, microwave, dishwasher and a Delonghi espresso coffee machine. There is a large American fridge with ice machine, another fridge in the pantry and a washing machine and ironing board.
Bedroom 1 is located on the ground floor and has a double bed and fitted wardrobes. Next to this room is a large bathroom with walk-in shower and two sinks. Bedroom 2 is also on the ground floor and has a double bed.
On the first floor is bedroom 3 and 4 both with a double bed and large fitted wardrobe. These rooms share a bathroom with walk-in shower and washbasin. Down the hall there is a separate toilet. In both bedrooms there is an extra single bed. The house has air conditioning.

Restaurants, food & wine
There are many Provençal bistros and restaurants in the vicinity. In Flayosc, you can taste the atmosphere of terraces under the characteristic centuries-old plane trees, with a variety of restaurants. Very good is restaurant Le Nid. Another must is restaurant Bruno in Lorgues, widely known as "the truffle king". The area is also characterised by old wine chateaux, where you can taste and buy wine at the chateau almost everywhere. Flayosc has its own Cooperative (wine producer) in the heart of the city.
All villages have their own fixed market day, so you can visit a different market every day and taste the local specialities. Also many museums are within driving distance.

The Mediterranean beaches and the natural beauty of the Gorges du Verdon are only 35 km away. In Flayosc and the surrounding medieval villages, you will find not only interesting antiquities but also attractive antique markets. You will taste the atmosphere of terraces under the characteristic centuries-old plane trees and the hospitable restaurateurs with their famous Provençal cuisine. In Flayosc there are several supermarkets, bakers, butchers, pin, restaurants and terraces and the Monday morning market in Flayosc as well as the Tuesday morning market in Lorgues are highly recommended!
