The house
The house is practically furnished so that you can enjoy your holiday to the fullest. In summer, you can admire the panorama of the lake and surrounding mountains from the terrace. In the garden, you can find a shady spot to relax in one of the garden chairs. On the ground floor you will find a modern kitchen with microwave oven, coffee machine, dishwasher, large fridge with freezer compartment, oven and electric hotplates, pots and pans and kitchenware, cutlery and crockery for 6 people. Cosy oval dining table with 6 chairs and fitted cupboard. There is also a washing machine in the comfortable bathroom with bathtub/shower and washbasin. On the ground floor there is also a separate toilet and a double bedroom with spacious wardrobe and romantic view over the lake. The separate sitting area has comfortable armchairs, a coffee table and a television.
Upstairs is the mezzanine with a spacious double bed, fitted wardrobe and this part can be screened off. On the other side are 2 more single beds. The skylight has a remote-controlled sunshade. The house has double air conditioning with remote control and electric heating.
In the lockable broom cupboard on the terrace you will find a hoover, ironing board and cleaning attributes.
The whole house has recently been freshened up and painted.

This house is located in the domain closed off from through traffic Port Saint Pierre on the shores of le Lac de Serre-Ponçon, the largest reservoir in Europe. The French southern Alps (Hautes-Alpes) are known for their sunny (300 days a year) and pleasant climate with in summer a refreshing breeze in the afternoon so that the temperature always remains pleasant.

There are several ski resorts nearby. Very close by (max 20 min drive) you will find a nice child-friendly, family ski resort at Col Saint Jean (Montclar) where you also have a beautiful view of the lake. A little further away (± 30 km) you can enjoy the snow in Praloup, Super Sauze, Les Orres or Risoul/Vars.
Restaurants, food & wine
There are plenty of nice restaurants in the area where you can soak up the local cuisine. Recommended: Chez Pierrot in Crots. you dine there in a unique setting with very friendly service. Reservation is definitely recommended. Also nearby is the Route des fruits et des vins. For those who like to combine pleasure with fun.
Activities
Situated on Europe's largest reservoir and in the beautiful setting of the French southern Alps, you are spoilt for choice when it comes to activities. A true paradise for water skiers and wakeboarders.
Water sports enthusiasts can indulge in water skiing, surfing, sailing, jet skiing, etc. The port (place to be reserved at http://www.smadesep.com/cms/index.php/le-lac-destination-nautique-2/reservation-postes-a-flot/!) is 200 m from the house. It is possible to rent (motor) boats and pedal boats.
There is a delimited beach with (in the summer season) guarded and easily accessible swimming area ideal for children. Near the beach there is also a volleyball and batminton court and petanque court. For refreshment, quick bite or lunch, you can visit the local snack bar.
The fisherman will find an abundance of quiet creeks. In the summer season, there are also plenty of opportunities for rafting, kayaking, hydro gliding and white-water swimming on the 2 rivers (Ubaye and Durance) that feed the lake. Nature lovers will find plenty of opportunities for (mountain) hiking, mountain biking and trekking. The Parc National des Ecrins and many beautiful cols are within 30 minutes to 1 hour maximum driving distance. The paraglider and delta glider enthusiast should definitely not forget to go to Saint Vincent les Forts (20 min drive) to enjoy the most unique take-off site in the area. Thermals guaranteed with stunning views over the entire lake.
