It is wonderful to enjoy this piece of paradise, excellently located between Alpilles and Camargue, the ideal base for exploring the area.
Discovering cosy villages with their typical markets and Provençal traditions, making lovely walking or cycling trips in the Alpilles, absorbing culture in Arles, Nîmes or Avignon, horse riding or spotting flamingos in the Camargue, there is something for everyone, and this within a radius of only 50 km!
Of course you can also just do nothing, relax in the hammock, play a game of petanque or Kubb or take a refreshing dip in the pool.
Everything is possible, nothing is compulsory!
Le Rouiron is a comfortable and tastefully furnished holiday home for 8 to 10 people, located in a quiet rural setting only 2 km from the village with all the necessary facilities (supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants, fish shop, etc.). The house offers a spacious living room with open kitchen, 4 bedrooms on the ground floor, 1 large bathroom with double washbasin, bath and shower, and 1 shower room with washbasin., 2 separate toilets.

Room 1: 1 double bed (180 x 200 cm)
Room 2: 2 single beds (90 x 200 cm)
Room 3: 2 single beds (90 x 200 cm)
Room 4: On the ground floor a fold-away sofa (160 cm x 200 cm) and on the mezzanine 2 single beds
The little ones have also been thought of: a baby bed is available, as well as 2 highchairs and 2 highchairs. But also toys, board games, petanque balls, Kubb game, badminton racket, ...
The spacious living room opens onto an equally spacious terrace with a barbecue.
The house is equipped with all comforts (air conditioning, dishwasher, oven, microwave, coffee maker, Nespresso machine, full HD TV and DVD/Blue Ray player - hi-fi system) to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
The large garden (2800 m2) is closed off by an automatic gate. There is ample parking space in the shade.
The beautiful swimming pool has generous dimensions (11 x 5,5 m, depth 1 m incl. to 1,40 m + piece of "plunge pool" of 2 x 3 m, 40 cm deep) and can be closed at night by means of a shutter, so that the water does not cool down at night. This of course also offers additional safety for young children.
The pool can be heated in spring and autumn.
There are plenty of sun loungers.

Holiday home Le Rouiron is located in one of the most beautiful regions of Provence, at the foot of the "Alpilles". These extraordinary limestone formations form a fairy-tale like décor, which also inspired Vincent Van Gogh. A little further on, you will enter the Camargue nature reserve, known for its wild horses, black bulls and pink flamingos.
In short, the ideal base for beautiful walks in nature.
But the culture lover will also find something to his liking here. Avignon, Arles, Saint-Rémy de Provence are all within a radius of barely 50 km. And do not miss Les Baux de Provence (12 km) and the "Carrières de Lumières", a breathtaking light and sound spectacle.
And at an hour's drive: Aix-en-Provence, Aigues-Mortes, Marseille, Montpellier...

Wat een fijne plek is Le Rouiron! Een mooi groot huis en goed onderhouden, we voelden ons direct thuis. Er ontbreekt niets aan de inrichting, overal is aan gedacht; als je van koken houdt zoals wij, alles is aanwezig in de keuken om elke dag heerlijk culinair bezig te zijn. Het contact met de eigenaars is zeer prettig en ze zijn zeer behulpzaam. Wij komen heel graag weer terug en hopen dan wat langer te kunnen genieten van deze prachtige plek!

Le Rouiron is een absolute aanrader. Het huis is groot, goed onderhouden en proper. De airco (in de leefruimte & op de slaapkamers) zorgt voor de nodige verkoeling. De tuin, het zwembad en het terras ademen een puur vakantiegevoel uit. De ligging is voortreffelijk als uitvalsbasis voor verschillende uitstappen. De eigenaars zijn super vriendelijk & correct. Wij zijn op een uitstekende manier ontvangen en gaan dan ook graag terug!
Restaurants, food & wine
La Vallée des Baux is known for its delicious olive oil and related products. The region also has several good wine houses, organic or otherwise.
In Maussane-les-Alpilles (7 km), les Baux-de-Provence (10 km) and Saint-Remy-de-Provence (15 km), there are numerous excellent and affordable restaurants. And if you really have something special to celebrate, then book a table in one of the several starred restaurants.

Provence markets
What could be nicer than strolling through the Provencal markets, looking for the best olives, the tastiest cheese or the juiciest tomatoes on Wednesday in Saint-Remy-de-Provence, on Thursday in Maussane-les-Alpilles, on Friday in Saint-Martin-de-Crau or Eygalières.
Nature
There is no lack of variety here. Both the enchanting mountain scenery of the "Alpilles" and the vast marshland of the Camargue with its unique animal species are protected nature reserves and invite you to take beautiful walks. And just behind the Camargue, the sea is only half an hour away.
Golf
Who wants to play golf, has two of France's most beautiful golf courses at his disposal. The 'Golf de Servannes' in Mouriès (18 holes) and the 'Golf du Domaine de Manville' in Les Baux de Provence (18 holes) are both less than 15 km away.
Horse riding, climbing, cycling
Several riding schools in the area offer horseback trips through the Alpilles. If you like mountain climbing, you will also find something to your liking here. There are some fantastic climbing sites in the region. And with the iconic Mont Ventoux only 1 hour away, this is of course also a paradise for cycling tourists.
Folklore
Horse and bull are central to many folklore events. Every village in the area has its own bullring where every week a "toro piscine" or "course camarguaise" is organised. Or look out where an "abbrivado" is about to take place. It's all very playful, fun is guaranteed!
