The house
La Petite Esperance, private accommodation with large garden and pool. 2 bedrooms, dishwasher, washing machine, oven, microwave, fridge and freezer. TV with French and English channels (satellite), big swimming pool (12 x 5 m) open from June till August , terrace with sun bathing chairs, parasol. Located in a quiet environment in the heart of the countryside. The pool is surrounded by a fence that prevents animals and children to enter otherwise than by the main door, if opened.

Set in the heart of the Loire Valley, well located for visiting the Loire Chateaux and wineyards. Beautiful forest in the area, ideal for walking or cycling. 5 km from the village Longue with multiple shops and a big supermarket. 9km from Mouliherne, an authentically French village with it's unique church with a crooked spire. The Loire river with lots of picnic places is only a 15 minutes’ drive.

Restaurants, food & wine
There are many vineyards in the neighbourhood with delicious wines, such as St Nicolas de Bourgeuil and Saumur Champigny. Many vineyards can be visited and the local 'vignerons' are delighted to let you taste their wines. There are several restaurants, some even in troglodyte caves, in which delicious Fouee are served, these are local wood fire baked breads, filled with butter and 'rillette de porc'.
Activities
The nearby forest are ideal for biking, horse driving or hiking. There are multiple mountainbike trails in the neighbourhood and nearby is the famous Loire EuroVelo 6 biking network. Along the Loire there are several departure points for canoeing. A nautical centre is located in Saumur. If weather conditions are well, hot air balloon trips are organised. For children there is the zoo Bioparc Doue La Fontaine and Zoo de la Fleche. Typical for this region are the Troglodytes, a sort of caves which are equipped as houses and/or restaurants.
