The house
This holiday home can be booked for two, four (low season only) or six people. The interior of the cottage is homely with a touch of industrial.
Living/dining room
The living/dining room has two sofas and a single bucket seat. The dining area has a dining table and six dining chairs. For hot and cold days, there is air conditioning that cools or heats.
There is a separate toilet.
Kitchen
The kitchen is equipped with hob, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer. Furthermore, enough pans, plates, cutlery, glasses, cups and of course a Senseo machine. From the kitchen you walk onto the terrace which also has a table and six chairs and of course a large parasol. The terrace is also equipped with an exit screen for your privacy.
Bedrooms
There are 3 spacious bedrooms, one downstairs with an adjoining shower and two upstairs. All bedrooms have a wardrobe, coat rack, bedside tables and bedside lamps.
In total there are six box spring beds available, a baby bed and high chair can be borrowed on request.
Bathroom upstairs
Upstairs there is a spacious bathroom with walk-in shower, toilet, towel radiator and washbasin.
Beds are all provided with sheets, pillowcases, duvet covers. P.p. a large and small bath towel and for the kitchen a towel, tea towel and dishcloth. On Wednesday and Saturday is the towel change day.
If you book for two people, you will have access to the ground floor, which is also equipped. If you come with more than one person, you can rent the entire gite. The gites have their own front and back entrance.
In the summer the swimming pool, the garden and the sports field are at your disposal. Parking is free and there are enough places available.

Residence La Salamandre is located in the middle of the golden triangle of the Tarn and is part of the Carthage region.
There are many things to do and to see here. At 40 minutes of la Salamandre you can find among others the beautiful pink city Toulouse and the historical Albi (world heritage Unesco). The picturesque authentic villages Castelnau de Montmiral and Bruniquel are excellent for lunch and a nice walk. There is also a market every day in the neighbourhood and from May to October, festivals, flea markets and flea markets are organised everywhere. Also for children there is plenty to do in the area such as beautiful swimming lakes with climbing tracks and water skiing.
There are five golf courses nearby for beginners and advanced players.

Restaurants, food & wine
Residence La Salamandre is situated on the route de Saurs, the route that runs through the vineyards. There are about 30 vineyards nearby where you can taste and buy wine every day for a normal price (on average about 6€ for a bottle). The first weekend in August is the Gaillac wine festival, where all the vintners present their wines and you can taste them. The second weekend in November Gaillac primeur is presented and then there is a party at all the wineries with food and local markets. Also in terms of food you are well off in this region, it is typical in this area that all restaurants are open with lunch and evening often only Friday and Saturday.
Activities
Residence La Salamandre is on a mountain biking, cycling and hiking trail. , from very flat routes to very hilly/mountainous routes. Nearby are vineyards with delicious wines, horse riding, golfing, canoeing and of course many beautiful cities such as Albi and Toulouse.
A massage relax or hold cold stone is also among the possibilities.
Every day it is possible to visit an antique and flea market.

It is possible to put together a package for you starting from three days, including meals and various experiences such as working with leather for half a day, a visit to the star guard and wine tasting in various wineries.
The total capacity of la Salamandre is 28 persons. The gites are suitable for two, six, twelve or 18 people. By widening the sliding doors and sound-absorbing panels, the ground floor can be transformed into a large living room.
La Salamandre is also ideal for training and team building weekends. There are many sports practised in the neighbourhood in the beautiful large sports hall and fields in Rabastens, such as: badminton, handball, volleyball and rugby.
