The house
The characterful holiday home is the result of years of restoration of an old water mill. The property covers 1.1 hectares, has a pond, a river, a large playground with play equipment, sandpit and trampoline and a swimming pool. The property is surrounded by woods. The closest neighbour lives 2 km away so peace and private enjoyment is guaranteed.
On the ground floor (70 m²) is the living room (including a double sofa bed), a modern fully equipped kitchen and a storage room. On the upper floor (70 m²) there are two bedrooms (one with double bed and one with 3 single beds). The interior is cosy and has all comforts (dishwasher, wifi, washing machine, TV, ...).

The cottage is located in the municipality of Montet-et-Bouxal, 5 km from Lavitarelle, 8 km from Latronquière, 15 km from Marival-Lacapelle and 27 km from Figeac. The surroundings are agricultural, woody and hilly with some through traffic during the day. Through the domain runs a river (the Bervezou) in which you can fish. The closest neighbour lives at 2 km (and is also your contact person on the spot).

Wij hadden hier een heel fijne vakantie, heel erg rustig gelegen en het zwembad bracht de nodige verkoeling. Onze 3 jongens vonden de trampoline, speeltoren en zandbak ook heel erg leuk! Een aanrader voor wie van rust en natuur houdt.

In een oase van rust staat dit klein, maar heel charmante vakantiehuisje. Het was inmiddels ons derde bezoek, maar het instant vakantiegevoel overviel ons terug toen we de oprit naar beneden reden en zicht hadden op de vijver, met daarnaast de gezellige pergola, het terras en het zwembad omringd door een gigantische tuin met de langslopende beek en het bos op de helling. We genieten telkens van de stilte en de rust rond het huisje, maar ook de omliggende dorpjes en stadjes weten zeker te bekoren.
De ontvangst is telkens zeer hartelijk en de attentie die klaar staat weet ons zeker te smaken!
Na 3 fantastische vakanties kunnen we bevestigen dat het een echte aanrader is voor wie even wil ontsnappen aan de dagelijkse rush en met de familie wil ontspannen in een prachtig en rustig kader.Ruth Smeets from Haacht,
Fantastisch leuk huisje met geweldige tuin en leuk zwembad. Vakantiesfeer is meteen 100% aanwezig bij het eerste aanblik. Goed onderhouden en echt alles aanwezig! Jammer genoeg geen vis meer in de vijver. Onze kindjes en wij hebben echt elke dag genoten! Zeer goede en vriendelijke ontvangst en duidelijke afspraken op voorhand. Een echte aanrader!
Ook het Lac du Tolerme zeer fijn om te doen, rustig en betaalbaar.

Nearby are a number of good restaurants in Gorses, Terrou, Saint Cirgues and in Marival-Lacapelle.
This is the region of foie gras and nut liqueur.
You are in the region of Cahors and at 15 km there is a winery where you can taste.
Furthermore, you will find everything in the culinary field, markets, ... in Figeac (at 27 km).
Activities
On the estate itself, you can swim in a private pool and fish in the river. On the playing field there is a playground, trampoline and sandpit and plenty of space to practise any ball game. At 15 km there is a large lake (Lac du Tolerme) where all kinds of water sports can be practised. The surroundings are hilly and therefore excellent for walking, cycling or mountain biking. The ski resort of Le Lioran is an hour's drive away. In the region you can also visit the beautiful towns of Figeac, Roccamadour, Cahors and Saint-Cirq-Lapopie.

Further remarks
The mill is 45 km from Rocamadour (most visited site in France after Mont St-Michel) and from "Les Gouffres de Padirac". A 1.5-hour drive away is the Lot River with the village of Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, voted one of the 10 most beautiful villages in France.
