Nature conservation, organic farming and green tourism are important in the department of Drôme in the Rhône-Alpes region. You can relax during you holiday thanks to natural remedies, the Zen garden in Beaumont-Monteux and aroma therapy with essential oils from Nyons. Moreover Drôme has stunning nature. Regional nature park Vercors with Gorges de la Bourne, Cirque de Combe-Laval, Fôret de Lente, nature reserve Les Ramières, the forrest of Saoû, rocks near Omblèze.

Sport activities

An ideal region for sport activities with a couple of thousand walking- and bicycle trails which can also be used on horseback or ATB bikes. Very pretty are tours from Le Poët-Laval to Col de Menée, the Grande Traversée du Vercors and the route in Drôme of the ViaRhôna, from Lake Genève to the Mediterranean sea. Drôme and Eygues are ideal for canoeing, kayaking , canyoning and fishing. Climbing is also possible on several locations. Plus there are four 18-holes and four 9-holes golf course in the Rhône valley, Vergers and Drôme Provençale. In winter sport holidays you can go on snowshoe walks, skiing and cross country skiing.

Culinary Drôme

There is plenty to enjoy here with wines such as Clairette de Die, Côtes du Rhône and grands crus Hermitage and Crozes-Hermitage from Tain-l’Hermitage. Make sure to taste olive oil, truffles, blue cheese Blue du Vercors-Sassenage, walnuts and Montelimar noga in your holiday-home. Valence has a large fruit and vegetable market near the cathedral.

Trips in Drôme

Discover from your holiday home the pretty villages Mirmande, Cliousclat, Dieulefit and Bourdeaux. Often you will see workshops of potters, olive basket weavers, instrument builders and glas blowers. Romans-sur-Isère has the international shoe museum. But Drôme also has many castles for instance: Grignan, Suze-la-Rousse, La Garde-Adhémar, Le Pöet-Laval and Montbrun-les-Bains.
