The apartment is situated in the outer rim of the old medieval village of Tourrettes. It has unobstructed views down the valley to the Esterel Massif which reaches to the sea and the back of Cannes. Overlooking the village is the Chateau Puy and on most days gliders from the nearby aerodrome can be seen floating past the windows and above the castle. The apartment is 8 mins walk from the larger and more active village of Fayence and the nearest boulangerie for warm bread in the morning.
The village is one of five hilltop or "perched" villages in the valley, approx 20kms from Grasse, 46kms from Nice, 24 Kms from Cannes and 48km from St Tropez. The village is located on the road to Mons which later joins the Route Napleon. In this direction is the wonderful Gorges du Verdon only 1.5hrs drive away.
There are many small towns and villages in the area as well as the more active and exciting towns of Nice and Cannes. Beautiful beaches are all along the coast line and the Lac St Cassien is only a 10 mins drive from the apartment.
The village is surrounded by olive groves, forests and vineyards.
Within the immediate area are a number of large well stocked supermarkets with one useful small grocery shop within walking distance.
The area is hilly with many good walks either directly from the apartment or a short drive away.

The village of Tourrettes itself can be quiet with some shady corners for sitting reading a book. However a few mins walk takes you to Fayence and its many restaurants , buzzing cafes and small boutique shops. During the summer months there is always activity in Fayence : festivals, theatre , music nights are regular features. A programme is available in Tourrettes information office.
