The house
An open plan loft conversion of a pre 1650s watermill. 1 bedroomed, romantic hideaway, full of character and with exposed beams everywhere, a roll top bath, a private balcony and its own garden. There is the option of a double sofa bed should extra sleeping be required (but the bath is set in the bedroom, so, although a screen is supplied for modesty, you had best know each other well). As all our gites, Le Grenier benefits from a completely fitted kitchen (with dishwasher), full UK free view and french tv, a UK double socket with USB charge points, wi-fi, dvd a wood burner, bbq and use of our 50sqm pool (solar heated). We also have games in the garden including badminton, table tennis, Jenga and boule. Please check our website for a full check list of what is provided & our other properties.

The Vallee de la Loire, also known as the "Garden of France". So called as it was the chosen destination of the Royals and where they build the majority of the Royal Chateaux.
From incredible Chateaux visits (Amboise, Le Lude, Chennonceau, Chambord, Saumur all within easy reach), wine tours, cycling routes, ATB trails through the Foret de Berce, Le Mans and its historic link to motor racing, the fantastic cities of Tours, Saumur and many more besides.
We host many walkers, fishermen (our own 2 acre lake is close by and Marcon Lake, which has carp to 50kg and pike to 30kg+), families and couples seeking a romantic getaway. Macon lake is also home to a brilliant watersports center.

Many options of full days are possible. With Le Mans being just up the road, we have the 24hrs Le Mans circuit (Bugatti), as well as the historic city itself.

Marcon with its 50 hectare lake complete with watersports, beach and fishing, kayaking down the Loir and much more.

We are extremely pet friendly and welcome your furry friends. We do have our own dogs onsite, so please request a pet contract to avoid any issues. Much as your pets stay for free, we do request an additional €50 security deposit.
