Set in outstanding scenery overlooking the Viaur Gorge this beautifully restored former farm offers three lovely gites having traditional architecture whilst providing all the modern comforts of home. The farm complex is situated on the edge of a small hamlet. The hamlet is located on the border of the Aveyron and Tarn departments offering easy access to all that these fabulously unspoilt departments have to offer.
Situated half way between the historic departmental cities of Rodez and Albi means easy access to both of these fabulous cities which provide wonderful architecture, rambling backstreets and dozens of pavement cafes and restaurants to suit all pockets. In the immediate area are a number of bastide towns, Sauveterre, Monesties, and of course the well know Cordes-sur-Ciel.

Restaurants, food & wine
There are plenty of restaurants in the local area offering simple low-cost all inclusive menus (from €10) to high dining with the best France has to offer! The choice is yours. The local wine is Giallac and we are still looking for a disappointing one!
Walking -The countryside around the property offers superb walking environments with a whole wealth of flora and fauna. Waymarked paths are accessible from the property.
Cycling - not for the novice, but the quiet country roads offer serious cyclists an ideal area to explore.
Children - we are 20mins from the Cap de Couverte complex - an amazing convertion of a disused opencast mine, offering dryslope skiing, skateboard/bike park, luge, longest zip -line ride in europe, swimming, horseriding and waterskiing. 15mins from a large lake offering a beach, supervised swimming areas, windsurfing, sailing, fishing + canoeing. 4 mins away from Viaur river for fishing and canoes to hire.
There are numerous animal parks and small zoos in easy reach, including the unique Micropolis insect park. There are local horse riding schools for trekking. And during the high season there is a market available on a daily basis at one of the nearby towns, including nocturnal farmers markets.

If you don’t know the area it is well worth the effort to discover. If you have been already - then it speaks for itself. Ripe for tourism but as yet unspoilt, our visitors are amazed at how much there is to do and see here - and yet you remain in a very traditional unique area of rural France.
We offer a number of additional services which can help to make your stay that bit easier. You can select a first shop service so that food can be ready waiting for you in the gite, order a welcome meal so there is no worry for the first evening, have a night off cooking by ordering the Table d’Hote, book a babysitter to go off and enjoy that Michelin Meal. (There are small charges to cover costs of these additional services to be paid locally).
