Villa Leparrot is located in Lot, a rural hilly area, but also within walking distance of the charming medieval village of Cardaillac. Cardaillac has been named by the French government 'un des plus beaux villages de France' , one of France's most beautiful villages. Unlike many other villages in the French countryside, Cardaillac still has amenities such as a real bakery, a small supermarket, a postoffice, a hair dresser and antique shop. A drink or a bite to eat can be enjoyed at the fort. Close to Cardaillac are several villages and towns which are certainly worth a visit (i.e.Figeac, Sarlat, Martell en St. Cirq la Popie) but it's also possible to visit caves, go canoeing or play golf.

Restaurants, food & wine
Around Cardaillac are several cosy restaurants in all price categories, from as little as 15 euros you can enjoy a three-course-dinner. Figeac has a Saturday market, in high season there is a regular antique market on Sundays. And often evening markets 'marche nocturne' are being held during the summer months, which are definitely worth a visit.
The area around Cardaillac is perfect for taking long walks which take you through amazing landscapes and sleepy villages. This part of France is also very suitable for car trips through breathtaking valleys and along rivers that find their way through the green hilly countryside. Cardaillac and its surroundings still have that typical French atmosphere as many of you might remember from holidays in the past.
