Holiday home in France
The barn has two floors. The living area is on the first floor and has a large kitchen/diner, spacious lounge and study room (4th bedroom with a double bed). There is also a shower room with lavatory and wash basin.
Double doors provide access to a large balcony with table and seating for eating outside, while another set of doors leads out onto a decking area at the rear of the property which also has a table and chairs..
There is a wood burning stove in the kitchen/diner and another in the lounge.
The lounge has a TV with English satellite and a DVD player. There is a stereo in the kitchen/diner.
An open plan stair case leads to the second floor where there are two twin rooms, a double bedroom and bathroom plus a large galleried landing area.
The entire ground floor is for storage and accommodates the washing machine and dryer and an additional fridge/freezer. It is a perfect area for storing bicycles, walking clothes and boots.
There is electric central heating.
NOTE: There is a large garden. Away from the house there is a pond. For security this has a tape around it and a warning sign.

The barn is the last property, just outside the village. It overlooks fields and woods and sits in a hectare of ground. The garden slopes gently up behind the barn and there is a small pond which is fed by a natural spring.
The drive sweeps in from the lane and parking is immediately in the front and to the side of the house.
The position is light and bright with a balcony to the side of the house and decking to the rear leading onto the garden. There are parasols for hot weather.
It is an area of fabulous natural beauty and ideal for walking and cycling. There are lakes nearby for swimming.
The village has a restaurant with a shop and a post office. There is a boulangerie in the next village.
In Argentat there are numerous restaurants and bars.

Restaurants, food & wine
The restaurant in Champagnac La Prune is open every week day and serves traditional food. Madam prefers clients to book. Lunch is usually served at midday. There are also local restaurants in the surrounding villages offering a range of food, some specialising in Correzien dishes. In the larger towns of Argentat and Tulle there are numerous restaurants and bars.
It is an ideal walking and cycling area with marked routes for off road cycling and walks.
The local lake is approximately 4km from the property and is safe for swimming with a lifeguard during the summer months. They also hire canoes. There is a swimming pool in Argentat.
There are water sports available at Marcillac la Croisille and canoe trips on the Dordogne.
Para-gliding is available near Argentat (approximately 15kms) and there are riding establishments which provide either lessons or treks. It is also a very popular fishing area.

The Barn is a non smoking property and probably not suitable for children of 5 years and under as it is a traditional barn with open plan staircase and galleried mezzanine. Also, there is a pond in the garden.
