Restaurants, food & wine

There are plenty of restaurants to choose from in the nearby villages of Caudies-de-Fenouilledes, St Martin, St Paul and Maury offering a range of food from Pizzas to haute cuisine. The local shops are a 15 minute drive away in Caudies and most villages have a cave offering a choice of local wines.

The location is ideal for nature lovers. Walking is the favourite passtime, but it is also ideal for mountain-biking. Horse-riding is available nearby as well as white water rafting and rock climbing. There is a tennis court in the next village of Fosse which also boasts a free open air swimming pool during July and August.

Further remarks

L’Ecurie is an exceptionally well appointed gite and has two outside terraces for sitting and relaxing or enjoying a bbq. Situated on the edge of the Foret de Boucheville, Vira is one of the prettiest villages in the area with a lovely church, boules areas and its own plan d’eau. An ideal location for those looking for peace and quiet in a small friendly village.
