Holiday home in France
Originated in the medieval village of Jujols, on top of the mountain in the Pyrénées-Orientales, with an overwhelming view towards Canigou, this original stonehouse boosts one of the most breath-taking views of the Pyrénées-Orientales.
The house is approximately 170m2 (11829ft2) in size surrounded by terraces with on both sides of the house open-fireplaces. It is well equipped for 8/10 persons with four (and a half) bedrooms.
You will find satellite TV, CD/DVD, and a selection of music, literature, maps and information of the region. The modern kitchen is fitted with a gas stove, oven, dishwasher and a sizable refrigerator. There is a huge fire place and a small but efficient wood burning stove. If necessary there is a gas burner and seven electric heaters. There is one bathroom with a shower and a bath. A washing machine and a dryer is also available. You will be met by a caretaker who speaks French, German and English.

Jujols is a medieval, stone-built village located on the sunswept, southern slopes of the mountain Coronat. Situated in the Haut-Conflent Valley in the most southern and sunny department of France, the Pyrénées-Orientales, the village is an hour from the Mediterranean Sea and 30 minutes from the ski resorts in Capcir.
With the Reserve Naturelles in the backyard of the village, and numeral trekkings starting here, the views from the property it is a must see for a rural retreat. Fifty minutes from the beaches in Cannet and 45 minutes from the ski slopes of Capcir, there is something for everyone.
At approximately 3200 feet (960 meters), the village has its own mediteranean micro- climate and breathtaking panoramic views. Maison Tres Estelles looks directly to Catalan's spiritual Mount Canigou, which rises to meet the mountains bordering Spain and the high massifs in Cerdagne and Andorra. Jujols deserves its name: Balcon de Canigou.

Besides being a paradise for hikers, Jujols offers much more for the active and less active holidayer. What about accrobranching in Les Angles or even closer, Marquixanes? Horse riding in Capcir? Or for the more daring ones, canyoing or rafting? Or for the even more daring, para- or hanggliding? And if you had enough there is always the (fly) fishing, just 10 minutes down the road in Joncet. Or golf in Saint Cyprien. Or you can go to the beach, a 45 minutes drive. Or you can just grab a beach chair on one of the terraces, read a book and enjoy the fantastic view.
Winter Sports:The Pyrenees has the second largest variety of ski resorts in France, but unlike the Alps, it tends to be less crowded than most Alpine resorts.
In the Eastern Pyrenees, Font-Romeau/Pyrenees 2000 offers 58km of slopes for all levels of skiing and is covered by a single pass. There is nearly double the distance available to cross-country skiers with 100kms of pistes. The resort has 500 snow cannons. (35kms from Jujols).
Close by is Les Angles, with 26 ski lifts and 32 pistes, plus over 250 snow cannons for all levels of ability. There is also a Snow park covering several zones with tables, big-air, handrails, boxes, hips, halfpipe and two quarter halfpipes. Cross country enthusiasts can enjoy 54kms of tracks and the area is also great for snowshoeing.
