Restaurants, food & wine

The area has restaurants ranging from good and simple to michelin star rated. If you want to take a break from cooking , then join our table d'hôtes (guest table). We serve a delicious 3-course menu daily with mostly regional dishes and always using fresh products. In good weather we serve meals outside, where we can enjoy the food, cosy dinner talks and beautiful sunsets and a starry sky.
For wine lovers there is more than enough to taste in Burgundy. And this is also possible on site. We have carefully put together a wine tasting of various delicious Burgundy wines. Our own wine 'Latour' is also included.
Holiday home Chevannes is located between several beautiful wine regions: Sancerre and Pouilly Fumé in the east, Chablis in the north, Côte de Nuits in the east and Mâcon in the south.

Holiday home Donjon is situated in a rural area, surrounded by beautiful hilly landscape with extensive farmlands with grazing cattle. Domain Château Latour is surrounded by a very large garden with a lovely swimming pool. The environment is green and calm.

The large open air swimming pool is quiet and is shared with our other guests. The accommodation is small-scale, so no crowds in and around the pool but plenty of room for everyone. The pool is child safe as it is completely fenced, has a porch and a large lawn to lie down. The large garden of the country house has a number of trees for shade in the afternoon sun, a trampoline and a games field..

The environment is idyllic with the hills of the beautiful Parc du Morvan in the distance. The immediate surroundings are very attractive for those seeking tranquility, outdoor enthusiasts and those who love wine and good food. The surrounding countryside invites you to take walks or go bike riding (for example along canal du Nivernais with a nice flat cycle route of about 180 km) directly from the accommodation. Motorcyclists will enjoy themselves with quiet roads, beautiful nature and picturesque villages.
In the area you can find a video grenier (attic clearance) or a brocante market on several locations almost every weekend.
There is a lot of cultural heritage in Burgundy. Visit the historic towns of Autun, Nevers, Beaune, Vezélay or the Celtic excavations of Bibracte with a wonderful museum. Go on a fun canoe trip on the Loire, admire nature in Morvan nature park, play golf or go karting. Discover the gastronomic delights of the region with its delicious Boeuf Bourguignon, Coq au vin, Burgundian wines and numerous other regional specialties.

Visited in August 2011
