Jane and Walter are very nice and friendly hosts, we spend a very nice week in their cottage. The cottage is well equipped, clean and nicely decorated. A cosy place to stay with a nice garden for the children to play and to barbeque if the weather allows. Shops, supermarket and restaurants a short ride (10 min) from the cottage, beaches (15-20min).

At "La Mellignerie" we received everything we wished for during our holiday and more: a spacious cottage with a beautiful garden, the quietness of the Normandie countryside, but most of all the excellent hospitality and service of Jane and Walter.
Thank you for the very pleasant stay!

We had a lovely stay in August 2016 for close to a week. The gite is clean, spacious and pleasant; Walter and Jane have done a nice job on the building and were kind hosts. The kitchen is small but cozy and all equipment is there; we prepared home cooked dinner almost all days and had lovely meals in the garden.
The house is pretty isolated though – the nearest town is a 6km drive away. Our kids were happy with the books, puzzles and board games they found in the house but in these times the absence of WiFi was not expected. A blessing in disguise perhaps; at times it’s good not to be connected to the rest of the world 

Comment from Frederick Walter Melling

Guests seeking a quiet ''get away from it all'' secluded retreat are very happy to spend a vacation without wi-fi (after getting over the initial shock !!). Our guests wrote comments before leaving saying ''we love everything & every moment spent, especially the absence of wi-fi which brought us back to the real life''
