The house lies just outside the village of Themines, on the Causse de Rocamadour, a limestone plateau in a small hamlet with a few (holiday) homes. The area is characterized by its numerous dry stone walls .
The area also has many beautiful towns, like Figeac (25km), La Capelle Marival (10 km), Sarlat and well known Rocamadour (20km). The rivers Dordogne, Lot and Cele run through this region.

The house was completely refurbished in 2010. This kitchen is completely renovated and fully equipped. The electricity wiring was almost complety replaced and earthed in 2010. The gutters and rain pipes were replaced by new crafted zinc works at the end of 2010.
Lay out
The house has a ground floor, an attic and a basement. On the ground floor, which you reach via a raised terrace, there is a spacious lounge with large fireplace and access to a tower room. To the left and right of the living are the bed rooms which are spacious and authentic. The rooms are currently offering six sleeping places. (2 double beds and two single beds) in the lounge is the enclosed staircase to the attic which is still a blank canvas. From the lounge there are stairs that lead to the basement which include the large living room. A Pallet stove was installed her in 2010. This living room has a cozy seating area and a big old table that can accomodate a large group of people. Living room has two exits to the garden, one through the ground floor of the tower. Behind this room is the large kitchen. (About 25m2) In 2010 we installed a completely new (used) mahogany galley country style kitchen with every conceivable luxury. The kitchen has a gas stove and a wood-burning stove. The kitchen also has a large sturdy table with several chairs that can be used as a cosy dining area. Adjacent to the kitchen is the bathroom with toilet and shower and sink decorated in French country style.
Grounds and outbuildings
The house is spacious and located on a rural plot of over 800m2. Adjacent to the house is a plot of 4750m2 with building permission. Ideal for a second home or realizing a mini campsite. The house is suitable for permanent living or as second home. The garden offers space and privacy and still has possibilities . There are two large walnut trees that bear a lot of fruit. The garden has a permanent barbeque. The adjacent (construction) plot offers beautiful views of the hills. The pool will be renovated this summer.
