Lou Cagnard, provincal for 'the sunny place' is ideal for two people who want peace and quiet overlooking vineyards and surrounded by cherry and apricot orchards and olive groves.
The house is built on the corner of the French owners agricultural land, his house and swimming pool are a few metres away.
This part of the Vaucluse, nestling at the foot of Mont Ventoux (2000 meters high,) is considered one of the most beautiful areas in Provence. Mont Ventoux, the ascent begins just 1 kilometre away, is reknown for its wide variation of fauna and flora, ideal for walking or cycling.

This bungalow is ideal for two people who want calm amongst the vineyards, a splendid view of rolling hills and Mont Ventoux, a swimming pool and the advantage of a lively village with all amenities only one kilometre away.
The area is popular for those who enjoy outside activities, especially walking and cycling in this region of outstanding natural beauty.
It is well placed for making day visits to Avignon, Orange, Aix-en-Provence, Marseille and the mediterranean coast.
The house is simply furnished in provencal-style with the emphasis on comfort. It has a main room with well-eqipped kitchen, dining area and sitting area with acces to large terrace with dining table, loungers and barbecue. Cool double bedroom with view, modern bathroom with shower, separate WC. TV room with sofa bed for guests.
The house has its own private driveway with cool area for parking.

Activities
Bedoin, the local village an easy 1 kilometre walk away, is a centre for cycling. There are two cycle hire shops in the village and they will help you plan local rides of varying difficulty. The ascent of Mont Ventoux begins 1 kilometre away and is 'a must' for serious cyclists!
The village offers mini-golf, tennis, horse riding and organised walks and treking. There is a well-known golf course easily access able by car. There are several fresh water lakes nearby for swimming and a centre for caneoing.
For day trips there are endless possibilities. You can go south to the Luberon, Peter Mayle country with lots of villages to explore, a little further St Remy, Le Baux and Aix-en-Provence. Still further south is Marseille, and the Carmargue. Alternatively you could spend a day on the beach at Cassis. West is the famous Pont du Gard and the interesting town of Uzes.
Nearby and suitable for a half-day visit are Fontaine du Vaucluse, Isle-sur-la-Sorgues (a famous centre for antiques), Vaison la Romaine and Orange and a little further Nimes.
Avignon is the nearest big city and is 25 km away. It merits a day's visit as it has everything for all tastes, chic shops, museums and ancient monuments, to say nothing of all the bars and restaurants.
In the neighbourhood (max 30 minutes by car): climbing, swimming, golf, walking, mountain-biking, cycling, riding , tennis , Mountain climbing, Hang-gliding, para-gliding.
Restaurants, food & wine
This area is famous for its Cotes-du-Rhone and Cotes-du-Vaucluse wines, especially the villages of Chateauneuf-du-Pape and Gigondas.
All the neighbouring villages have their own Caves where you can try the local wines, to say nothing of the private vineyards which provide tasting and information on their own particular wines. You can 'degust' to your heart's content.
The area abounds with good resturants from the excellent and expensive to the very good and easily affordable. We offer our own guide to the restaurants we enjoy most in the area.
Bedoin has an excellent selections of restaurants, at least ten! They provide local specialities to suit all tastes and purses.
All the local villages have a market day once a week and here you can find local produce at very reasonable prices which will tempt you to try new dishes at home.
