The property (2.5 hectares) consists of age old land terraces of numerous fruit trees as well as olive, fig, apricot and almond trees set between beds of lavender, rosemary and thyme bushes. There is a panoramic view of hillsides of the Méditerrannée and the Massif des Maures. The house is situated just 8 minutes by car from Cotignac, one of the oldest most characteristic medieval villages built against a rock. Here you can find 3 fine bakeries/”boulangeries” and other shops for your daily groceries, catering and foodshop, antiques ”Le Passé et le Présent” (old & new), a super shoeshop La Scarpettina for modern women, lovely inspiring fashion boutiques as Delphine opposite Marguérite’s Decoration shop at the Place de la Marie.
In Carcés, also just 8 minutes away, is the big supermarket Ecomarché.
Within 10-20 minutes from home you can visit several old villages with their daily markets.

Only a good hour away and you are in Cannes, Nice (airport), Toulon (airport Hyères/ and shopping centre Grand Var/Toulon), St. Tropez, Marseille (airport) and the most attractive and cultural village Aix-en-Provence. Just as well, the Lac St.Croix and Lac Esparon are only an hour away as is the Gorges du Verdon (the Grand Canyon of Europe), a wonderful place for an adventurous outing. *More info Boussarelle Bergerie*

Interior

The Guesthouse consists of 3 bedrooms. The large cosy living room has a nice sleeping couch and antique country furniture, satellite TV with DVD player. Adjacent is an elegant luxury bathroom with bath, separate shower and double sink. The toilet is separate. On the loft floor there is a great lounge/bedroom with a double bed (grand closet) leading out onto a private sunny terrace/solarium with another single bedroom. Next to the living room is a complete eat-in kitchen with a large typical provencal antique dining table and 2 couches with pillows. Outdoors is another table under a large parasol with a lovely view of the olive grove, vineyard and the mountains of the Méditerrannée. Across from the living room is another double bedroom with a great closet, it’s own luxurious bathroom (bath, separate shower, sink and toilet). The entire complex has central heating. There is an exclusive totally private (for you only) salt water swimming pool (8x4, jet stream, outdoor shower and mandatory security alarm system) for our guests always private and the view is exquisite. The pretty flowered terraces with parasols are fully furnished with lounges and sun chairs, enough for everyone to find a favourite spot in the sun or shade accompanied by the lovely smells of lavender, rosemary, thyme and mint, typical herbs of the Provence.
You will be the only renters in La Boussarelle.

Activities

There’s a great salt water swimming pool with jet stream for fun and exercise (with mandatory security alarm built in), jeux de boules, darts, pool table, ping pong, table football, and many games are available. You can go kayaking nearby. Tuesday there’s a local market in Cotignac and every other day there is a market at one of the other quaint villages nearby. From May through September there are many festivals and gatherings around, antiques fairs, etc. We’ve listed them up to date for you in the house. From the house you can take nice walks into many surrounding nature areas like the “Le Bessillon” (810m high) or take the car up to the viewpoint to see the magnificent 360 degree panorama of hills and mountains. Additionally there are many other hikes to take in the area. In the neighbourhood (max 30 minutes by car): climbing, swimming, golf, walking, mountain-biking, riding , water sports, tennis , Mountain climbing, Hang-gliding, para-gliding.

“La Boussarelle” is situated along the wine route known as ARTS et VINS (art stands for look-buy; wine for taste-buy) of the Provence.
In the direct vicinity are many good restaurants which are listed for you to try.

The airports of Nice, Toulon/Hyères and Marseille Marignane (www.basiqair.com or www.klm.nl, www.ryanair.com), are only a good hour drive.
The Guesthouse (2-6 p) is available for rent all year round and
the entire Boussarelle (2-8 persons) on request.
During the high season
(25/06- 3/9/2011) only the entire Boussarelle is for rent (€ 2950,00)
