La Petite Maison is set on a property of 5 hectares, privately hidden amongst the trees, on a distance of 200 m from the main house. On the property there is a pool of 10 x 4 m with jet streams, and sundeck loungers and parasols for our guests. Mane is situated in the Pays de Forcalquier, in between the Parc du Luberon and the Gorges du Verdon. Many of the historic buildings are a reminder of Roman history; bridges, walls, amphitheatres, and the famous Via Dolomitia. Next no our property is the Chateau Sauvan, where visits are being organized. Several ancient Roman statues have been found there. On the road from Mane to Forcalquier there is the de Prieuré de Salagon, a 16th century monastery where exhibitions and concerts are being held.

Interior
La Petite Maison is an independent cottage, set on a property of 5 hectares. It has a large garden and several terraces. The building is surrounded by trees and it has a large lawn and behind it a playground with swings and a trampoline.
Layout: there is a large open plan kitchen with an electric hob and electric oven, a fridge/freezer, micro wave and coffee machine, chinaware, glasses and all necessary kitchen utensils. There is also a spacious lounge settee in the kitchen.
The sunny living room has French doors to the terrace, garden furniture and a parasol, and a splendid wide view on the surroundings. Next to the living room there is an adjacent bedroom with a bed and an extra bed, an en suite shower room with washbasin and toilet.
The kitchen leads to the other two bedrooms, of which each has a wash basin and two beds with box spring mattress size 90 x 200.
There is also a separate bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet.

Activities
Perched against the hill sides there are many towns and villages to visit, for example
Lurs,Dauphin,Banon,Limans en Reillanne, where you can have your lunch or supper on a sunny terrace.
There are markets to explore in Forcalquier, Oraison, in Apt and in Reillanne.
Explore the area on foot, by bycicle or by car. The cities of Avignon, Marseille and Aix en Provence are within easy reach and all worth a visit. The Gorges du Verdon and Luberon offer great walks and stunning views.
In the neighbourhood (max 30 minutes by car): climbing, swimming, golf, walking, mountain-biking, cycling, riding , water sports, Hang-gliding, para-gliding.
Restaurants, food & wine
In this region there is a lot of organic farming and craftsmanship. The results of these activities are being offered at the weekly markets, where you will find olive oil, lavender soap, honey, goat cheese and organic spelt bread.
Other remarks
On our property we keep sheep and lam, and chickens and we have vegetables and fruit of our own produce. Once a week we offer the possibility to have a (paid) meal with us.
