La Source Tranquille sits in a large walled garden of some 4000 sq. m. total with a spring and a stream and mature trees. Whilst being only 600m from the centre of our village the garden itself is a real oasis of calm, with no-one looking in ensuring complete privacy. Electric gates allow entry for your car, with a dedicated parking space for your car.

Interior

Our gîte was renovated in 2011, opening in July. The ground floor is open plan with a large, fully equipped kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area with two large sofas and a flatscreen tv. There is plenty of storage space as well as a cloakroom.

On the first floor there are two bedrooms, one with a large double, the other with two large single beds, which can be converted into a double bed. The bathroom has a large shower and storage space.

There are seats just outside the gîte and there is a dedicated garden, out of sight from the main house, which covered seating as well as sunbeds and a barbeque. Next door to the gîte is a games room with baby football and table tennis

Activities

Mouy is very well placed for touring by bicycle, with established routes already to interesting places like Pierrefonds, Compiegne and Beauvais (see bikemap.net). There are also many walking routes nearby, with some passing directly through the village. The surrounding area is farmland with excellent walking opportunities.

Golf is well established in the region, with courses at Chantilly, Apremont and Raray to name but a few.

Chantilly (25km) is the horse capitol of France so there are many stables in the area offering horse-riding.

In the neighbourhood (max 30 minutes by car): golf, walking, cycling, riding .

Restaurants, food & wine

Mouy itself has a pizza restaurant and a couscous restaurant, all within walking distance of the gîte. Futher afield are some local auberges (in Heilles and Le Tillet) whilst Chantilly and Senlis have many restaurants of some repute.

There is a very small bar a couple of hundred metres from the gîte, as well as a PMU in the village.
