Activities

The cottage is situated in the Vendee region, which is an off shoot of the Loire region.
The Vendée is renowned for its many hours of sunshine and beautiful sandy beaches.
The area is relatively flat which makes it ideally suited for cyclists and walkers.
The beautiful beaches and golf courses are within 15 km.
Defenitely worth a visit are the beautiful peninsula Noir Moutiers and the island "Ile d'Yeu."

In the neighbourhood (max 30 minutes by car): swimming, golf, walking, cycling, tennis .

Restaurants, food & wine

The chateau de la Verie has a very good "gourmet" kitchen.
The French chef cook has won several awards in the culinary field.
The vendee is not a real wine region, but the Loire area, which has several good and well known wines, is a two hours' drive away.
