Interior

The Granary is a large 2 double bedroom gite which has been renovated to a good standard and still keeping many of the original features, tiles, oak beams throughout.The farmhouse kitchen which is well equipped for 6 persons, with oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer. Each bedroom has ensuite plus a toilet on ground floor. There is a lounge with TV, DVD, 2 patios with furniture & large vine covered BBQ. The heated. pool is set in a sunny spot with terrace and sun loungers and with a security cover for children. Beyond the pool is a grassy field for games, football, cricket etc. The Granary can be hired with the petite maison, which has a double bedroom with restricted headroom, (it's in the loft), a shower and sink. The toilet is in the garden or the Granary. This is suitable for older children. The laundry is close by with washing machine, iron and lines for drying. We are available to help you get the most from your visit here including wine tasting.

Activities

Walking and cycling is popular as it is flat. Organised walks or cycling through forest. Boats for hire and cruises available on the river. Swimming in local lakes is free and there are pools nearby, indoors & out. A go-kart course is nearby, as is golf, tennis and even a skateboard park. Of course not to mention the châteax. Lots close by and the National Military Horse Centre at Saumur.

In the neighbourhood (max 30 minutes by car): climbing, swimming, golf, walking, mountain-biking, riding , water sports, tennis .

Restaurants, food & wine

We can help you find good resturants in the area. The wine is good in this region. The Anjou Rouge, Rosé and particular to this region Côte de Layon, a dessert wine. We can organise free wine tastings, it is very popular.

Other remarks

The farmhouse has other accommodation. We can put up to 16 persons, if there is a large group who like to holiday together. We have a vine-covered BBQ and we can arrange evenings around the BBQ. We also have a newly renovated hall suitable for family reunions and parties.
