From Chateau de Barbet Lobez can be reached by bike or even walking. There are good amenities, like a boulangerie, supermarkets, doctors, chemist/pharmacy, a butcher, several restaurants, a bank with a cash machine etc.
Also the town of Samatan is situated not far from the Chateau de Barbet. Here you will find all kinds of events. The weekly market on monday is a must. Part of this weekly market there is the animal market, where animals are being traded, mostly for consumption. Next to it is the foie gras market, where you can buy real delicacies.
In the green, peaceful surroundings, there are lovely walks to make, for instance to the lovely lake where you will find slides and pedalo.
Lombez is situated on 50 km southwest of Toulouse. You can make lovely walks to Auch, Lourdes and many more. The Pyrenees are on 1 hour’s drive.

Luxuriously furnished, this villa has 3 bedrooms and sleeps 6. There is a bathroom with bath, separate shower and toilet, and there is an extra toilet in the house. The open plan kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, microwave, dish washer, coffee machine, and fridge-freezer. There is a washing machine. The gite has been very tastefully decorated and furnished. There is a TV with (Dutch) TV channels.

Activities
In the park there are 3 swimming pools, tennis, fitness with sauna, mini golf, petanque, a children’s playground, football, beach volley.
Many golfers visit the park, not in the least because of the beautiful 9 holes court, directly situated next to the park. Within 30 - 40 km you will find another 8 golf courses. More information on the website www.golf-midi.pyrenees.com. For groups of golfers there are special arrangements.
For cyclists of different levels the Gers offers many possibilities - we have prepared a number of routes for you according to your level and experience. For groups of cyclists there are special arrangements, including a day in the Pyrenees.
Also for walkers we have prepared a number of indicated walks. If you like Nordic Walking, we offer special arrangements.
In the area there are also many possibilities for canoeing, canyoning, skiing, delta flying and so on.
For our guests there is a professional animation team in the park. In the park there is a midget golf course and a petanque court. On driving distance there is a park where you can make a tour through the treetops, great fun for young and old. Or visit the safari park and the zoo of Pleasance de Touch. In Auch there is quad riding on 100 hectares of ground. In the area there are several lakes with swimming, sailing, pedalo, etc.
In the neighbourhood (max 30 minutes by car): swimming, golf, walking, mountain-biking, water sports, tennis .
Restaurants, food & wine
We are blessed with the restaurant Gastronomique on the park. In the ambiance of the chateau you can enjoy the local specialties, so leave you car by the gite and enjoy. The restaurant of the golf course has also a restaurant for snacks and so on. Once a week there is a barbecue evening and a table d’hôte. The region has many possibilities if you’d like to try the traditional cuisine.
