Lubersac

Lubersac is a commune in the Correze department in central France. The commune is located on the river Auvezere.

Lubersac is a charming village situated 3km from our location, it has a tourist information office, two restaurants, two bakers, two chemists, two large supermarkets including a 24 hour petrol station, post office and two bars. A well maintained open air swimming pool open to the public in the summer months and is signposted from the village square.

Arnac-Pompadour
Arnac-Pompadour is also a commune in the Correze department in central France and located on the Auverze. Only 2km from our location it is a thriving and bustling community. Predominantly based around horses, the stud and wonderful race course.

The city of Arnac-Pompadour is famous for it’s Chateau, it’s Anglo-Arab horse’s and is the headquarters of the French national stud.

In front of the Chateau is a race course which throughout the year stage races on the flat and over the hurdles, cross country and all types of equestrian events. You can also visit the stables and stud farms which are located in and around Pompadour.

There are a good selection of shops to visit, restaurants to eat in, bars to sit and sip your drinks and watch the world going bye. Also banks, chemists, bakers, a tourist information office, a post office a large supermarket. Plenty of free parking, and a weekly market.

Interior

The accommodation is also suitable for wheelchair users, all doors being a metre wide and electrical sockets are at an accessible height.
We have installed a large wet room which incorporates shower area, toilet, sink unit. Also in the wet room are a towel rail, electric heater, iron and ironing board and a hair dryer. Bathroom towels are provided.

Bedroom 1
This is a large double bedroom, with a king size bed, double wardrobe, bedside cabinet, wall heater and bedside lighting.

Bedroom 2
Smaller than the main bedroom, housing a single full size bed, a chest of drawers which can all be used by a carer, or child.

Kitchen/Lounge
“La Petite Grange” has a well equipped kitchen with a full size gas cooker, fridge freezer, micro wave and all other essentials you would expect. The lounge area includes T.V. video player, D.V.D. player, radio and C.D. player. There is access to Broadband. Board games, CDs, DVDs, plus books and magazines are all available, also some outside games are available.

Activities

Locally there is a gymnasium, swimming pool, horse riding, horse racing, equestrian, and cross country, fishing, sight seeing, The accommodation is on the route of Richard the Lion Heart. Pompadour which is 5minutes away is the national stud ( Hara ) and a multi purpose racecourse.

In the neighbourhood (max 30 minutes by car): swimming, walking, cycling, riding , tennis .

There are numerous restaurants with a range of prices, bars, cafes, and a choice of supermarkets within 5minutes
