Interior

Chateau du Fraissinet-Les Tilleuls is an attractive gite on three levels. The main living space and a fully equipped kitchen area are on the upper floor. It has French doors that lead directly to an outside dining area with views across the garden and into the woods.The main shower room and wc are on this floor. The two bedrooms are underneath and stay nice and cool for a comfortable nights sleep. The main bedroom is stone vaulted and is on the lower floor. It has a second door out into the courtyard. The family bedroom is on the middle floor amd leads into the master bedroom. The family bedroom includes a separate wc and wash hand basin.

Activities

Chateau du Fraissinet is close (2km) to the lac Camboux where you can fish, swim, hire a kayak and pedalo. Within easy reach (30 - 45 mins) is the Ardeche, Tarn and Ceze rivers where it ia also possible to hire a kayak. There are several caves to visit as well as Nimes, Montpellier, Avignon and Uzes and the Pont du Gard. We are also just 90 minutes away from the Mediterranean sea with the beaches of l'Espiguette and le Grau du Roi being popular day trips for our guests.
There are lots of walks locally with the Cevennes National Park beginning at the edge of the property.

In the neighbourhood (max 30 minutes by car): climbing, swimming, walking, mountain-biking, riding .

Restaurants, food & wine

Our local 'Auberge du Fraissinet' is just a 300m walk along the river bank. There is also a bar 'Chez Titoune' at the top of the lane and a small campsite opposite which has a snack bar. There are several other restaurants close by which serve good local cuisine.
There is an excellent twice weekly market in the nearby town which sells local produce including honey and pelardon goats cheese which is a regional speciality.

Other remarks

This is an ideal place for a family holiday. There is lots of space for children to play and explore and they will enjoy making friends with our Donkey, Pony, Ducks and Chickens.
