The farm lies on the edge of Cernay-la-Ville, 40 kilometres southwest of Paris. The village is situated within the Regional park of the Haute Vallee de Chevreuse, the ideal place for combining culture and nature. And in just minutes you can pick up fresh French bread at the local baker.
Just behind your accommodation begins a large forest where you can go for pleasant walks or bike rides. The area is hilly with beautiful views. Only 9 kilometres from Cernay you can catch the RER (metro express) that takes you to the heart of Paris in just 40 minutes. Euro Disney is not far off from your vacation address, nor the museum Chartres where paintings of Monet are exhibited. All the various directions to get to where you want to go are available at your home-stay.

Interior

Ferme de Bois Boisseau, owned by the Koning family, is a characteristic 200 year old farm where the buildings surround a pretty courtyard (cour).
Here is an apartment to rent for maximum 10 persons. There are also 2 free standing gites for rent, accommodating 6-10 people. The gites are cosy and comfortably decorated with central heating and a fireplace. There is one double bed and the others are all twin beds. Pillows and quilts are there for your use. Each gite has its own garden, with seating and a barbecue etc.

Available: Dishwasher, Washing machine, Iron, Bed-linen, Cot, High chair, TV, Fireplace.

Activities

Close by you can go swimming, tennis, golf, bike, hike… etc. We have directions and brochures for you. Each summer an artist comes to give painting lessons here and during the fall break a puppet-making workshop has been planned. If you would like to organise a workshop here yourself, please speak with Mrs. Koning.

In the neighbourhood (max 30 minutes by car): swimming, golf, walking, mountain-biking, riding , tennis .

Restaurants, food & wine

Albert Koning produces his own red and white wines that he bottles himself for sale. In the village are several good restaurants with good food. Or, what about a restaurant discovery tour through the region? Real French products can be bought in the village, at the market or in one of the large supermarkets 10 kilometres away in Rambouillet.
