La Providence is situated in the heart of historic Chateauvillain which features many medieval buildings and some cobbled streets. The gite is part of an original hotel building, constructed over 110 years ago, and lies above the village restaurant (so good food and wine is never far away!) A short walk takes you to the local deer park, a haven for nature-lovers.
The village is served by several local shops, two bakeries and post office, and is a lively, very traditional French community. Evenings are always peaceful, with very little passing traffic.
