In a green area of absolute calm, not far from the châteaux of the Loire region, right in the heart of the Forest of Orleans, this independent and charming house is set on a property of 50 hectares, amongst the fields where horses are grazing. There is a wide view on the surrounding countryside. The village of Combreux is situated on 2 km at the end of a small country road. On the property there is a large lake of 3 hectares.

Interior

Nonfourche has been tastefully restored using the original materials, into a very comfortable gite, whilst remaining the original features.
On the ground floor you will find a large 'cathedral' lounge with a fireplace, open plan kitchen and the master bedroom with a 160 cm bed with an ensuite bathroom (hammam and bath), a toilet and a utility room.
On the first floor is a twin bedroom (beds 90 cm wide).
The house is equipped with a plasma TV, Wi-Fi, Hi-fi, a dish washer, a washing machine, a microwave oven, a hob, a barbecue. There is a garage which can be locked.
Bed linen is included. We're sorry, but we do not accept pets.

Activities

Through the forest walks and bicycle tours can be made.
On the Loire River there is canoeing. A golf course is nearby.
On our lake you can go fishing. Have a swim in the pool, play tennis (on the property) and don't forget to visit the châteaux de la Loire.

In the neighbourhood (max 30 minutes by car): golf, walking, mountain-biking, cycling, riding , tennis .

Restaurants, food & wine

The honey of Gatinais is well-known here, and so are the pralisnes de Montargis (sweets with almond which are put in the brioches).
The region doesn't have a typical cuisine, but in general there are good restaurants to be found to suit every taste and every budget.
