The farm is located in the Auvergne region, in the Massif Central at 1100 meters altitude. Although the farm is located in the mountains, the direct surroundings are hills. The nearest towns are Fournols (village) and Ambert (town). In the wider circumference are cities like Issoire and Clermont-Ferrand. The friendly landscape has forests (conifers), streams and meadows. The farm is in a hamlet of three houses located at the end of a cul de sac.

Description

Interior

The farm dates from 1869 and has been renovated with ecological materials wherever possible. This gives the house its special character. The farmhouse has a living room / kitchen, three bedrooms and a bathroom. The interior has lots of ambiance and colour thanks to the use of clay, chalk and paint tadelakt and the preserved original character of the house (log beams, wooden floors). On the ground floor you will find the entrance hall, living room with open kitchen and a WC. On the first floor are three bedrooms and a bathroom (with WC). The living room has a wood stove in front of a chimney breast which is classic for the region. Furthermore, a section of the farm serves a play area, and has a ping pong table.

Activities

You can visit a zoo, an adventure (climbing) park, there are fish ponds and swimming possibilities in the area. You can take wonderful walks with the house as starting point. Thanks to the absolute silence, you can also enjoy the stillness, the views and tranquility.

In the neighbourhood (max 30 minutes by car): walking, mountain-biking, riding .

Restaurants, food & wine

Local restaurants nearby. The weekly market in Amberthas is particularly nice in summer, as are the various flea markets.

Other remarks

As mentioned, the farm in situated in a very quiet place. Space and tranquility make this place so attractive.
