The gite is set on a property of 1,5 hectares, rolling landscape with a view on the forests. It is part of a small hamlet of 4 properties. From the kitchen there is a view on a 12th century castle.

Description

Interior

La Bessaronie has been tastefully furnished and is equipped with all necessary comfort. There are good (Dutch size) beds. Antique and brocante objects give the gite a good atmosphere.

Activities

The area offers lots of possibilities. Take a walk through the large forests. Stroll to the baker shop where they make the bread in a wood burning oven. In the local village there are a baker's shop, a small supermarket, a post office and a restaurant. On 15 minutes driving is Bergerac, a nice medieval town where you'll find all amenities. The airport is on 20 minutes drive. The area has four golf courses.

In the neighbourhood (max 30 minutes by car): swimming, golf, walking, mountain-biking, riding , water sports, tennis .

Restaurants, food & wine

On 5 minutes drive there are several restaurants. In the adjacent village the baker makes his bread on a wood burning oven. In Bergerac (20 minutes drive) there are restaurants to suit every taste and budget, from a simple pizza restaurant to the gastronomic French cuisine. Wine can be tasted and bought in one of the many chateaux in the area.
