Le Pradal is situated on a plateau in the hills, surrounded by 3 hectars of pasture land with a fenced garden of 5000 square meters, giving you plenty of privacy. The view is breathtaking: you can make out the Dordogne river in the distance and you can see for miles across the Dordogne valley overlooking the surrounding villages and castles . Even at night, all the lights in the valley look beautiful. And yet you are only a few minutes away from the Dordogne village Siorac, with its own supermarket, bakery, shops and restaurants.
In the Dordogne valley there is so much to enjoy and experience that a stay of several weeks is highly recommended. The beaches of the Dordogne are within walking distance, great for sunbathing and children are sure to enjoy themselves. Famous sights such as Domme, Les Eyzies and Sarlat are easily accessible from here. The tourist office in Siorac is open daily to provide you with all knids of information.

Interior

This spacious, T-shaped Perigordine 210 square meter house with a double garage of 70 square meters is built with some beautiful yellow regional stone. Enter the living room of 50 m² with exposed beams, large fireplace and five doors to the terrace with "a view to die for" - it is here that you'll get that special holiday feeling. The kitchen is rustic and comfortable. There are two bedrooms, a bathroom and toilet, as well as a utility room with appliances located on the ground floor.
On the 1st floor are two spacious bedrooms, each with a en-suite bathroom complete with shower and sink (the toilet is located separately). The first floor also has a play area and a large closet. Our house has been carefully designed and thoughtfully furnished: all beds are new, including 7 box springs , 2 mtr. long, the beds are made on arrival. The box springs can be made into comfortable double beds by sliding them together.
The house was completely renovated in style five years ago, and thanks to its location, it is now a popular holiday home. From July 15 to the end of August, two-week rental periods have our preference. Occasionally there is an week available in between - please email us for inquiries. Many of our guests come back every year.
We believe you will feel right at home in our house .

Activities

The house has a private pool of 5 x 10 m with lighting around the patio. For your comfort, the pool is heated by solar energy. You also have a garage of 70 square meters at your disposal, in which darts and table tennis can be played. The terrace has a barbecue and there are toys available for children.
You can take a boat trip on the Dordogne and see the castles from the water, or go canoeing instead, which is fun to do with children because the water isn't deep. If you enjoy fishing, there are ample opportunities for a good catch.

A 9-hole and 18-hole golf course are within 5 minutes from the house. There are many castles and museums to visit, caves to admire and exciting activities for children to do.
Whether you rather drive or take bikes out, there are several marked tours. There is a tourist information office at your disposal down in the village.

In the neighbourhood (max 30 minutes by car): climbing, swimming, golf, walking, mountain-biking, cycling, riding , water sports, Hang-gliding, para-gliding.

Restaurants, food & wine

The Perigord is famous for its cuisine, with typical local dishes such as foie gras, canard, truffles, walnuts and delicious chocolate cake and strawberries. A market can be found nearby every day, where you can enjoy the attractive displays of fresh fruit and vegetables, sausages, pates and cheeses made ​​by the seller himself.
There more than enough restaurants to choose from , and certainly within anyone's budget !
If you want to try something different, you can go to a "Nocturne" market. There, you choose and buy each course of your meal, from entree to desserts, find a place at one of the hospitable long tables and bon appetit! Don't forget to bring a litre of red or white Bordeaux or Bergerac wine with you!
